Even though Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are now engaged after dating for what only feels like minutes, it turns out the pair has a lot more in common -- and a lot more depth -- than you might expect!
The couple hasn't been shy about using social media to show their affection for one another, and obviously they're each very much infatuated with the other, which makes for plenty of passion!
But when it comes to wondering whether these two can work together long term, a source notes that because both Grande and Davidson have had to deal with serious hardships in their life, they may be able to bond better than most people will ever realize.

And that's very true, on a few different levels.
Davidson, 24, has had to deal with his father Scott's heroic and tragic death in New York City during the September 11, 2001 terror attacks. Grande, of course, has been trying to cope with the aftermath of the terror attack that took place during her concert in Manchester, England last year.
And the mental health challenges -- depression, anxiety, Grande's PTSD, Davidson's openness about borderline personality disorder, and more -- that come from traumas like that can function as a bonding point for two people who have gone through similar trials.
