This is so unsettling.
Redmond O'Neal, the 33-year-old son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, has been arrested by the LAPD and charged with attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal threats, one count of brandishing a knife and one count of battery.
The adult son of Fawcett and O'Neal was picked up by cops Friday after they investigated a slew of violent crimes and other criminal acts that had been taking place across southern California in early May.
O'Neal -- who has a long history of drug problems and run-ins with the law -- had allegedly been attacking random people who walked by him between May 2 and May 5 in the Venice Beach and Palms neighborhoods of Los Angeles, according to authorities.
He stabbed multiple men across those several days in early May, leading them to sustain "serious" injuries, and he also robbed a 7-Eleven store at gunpoint, as well.
Allegedly, he would attack random people after they made eye contact with him walking down the street. He punched and/or stabbed five people in total, including stabbing one person in the face.
He is currently in custody at the Los Angeles County Jail -- and apparently, he's been there for about a month now, arrested recently after the attacks began.
We'll provide more updates as we know them, but this is certainly a horrifying and unsettling story to see...
