Trump Continues His 20-Year Shade Campaign Against Republican War Hero John McCain!

The bill Donald Trump bragged about passing today is called the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019.

But you'd never know it from Drumpf's bombastic speech.

No, the POTUS went out of his way to erase the John McCain's name from the legislation, which authorizes $717 billion in defense spending.

Trump said:

"The NDAA is the most significant investment in our military and in our war fighters in modern history and I'm very proud to be a big, big part of it."

Yes, we're sure Cadet Bone-Spurs is a bigly part of the military spending calculations. See the official McCain-free announcement from the White House (below):

This continues a smear campaign against the war hero who represents a pre-Trump Republican party, before the GOP platform was officially changed to a pro-Russia one in 2016.

Trump infamously insulted McCain during his 2015 presidential run, and as recently as late June 2018 for voting against a horrible health care bill (which something like 88% of Americans were against).

But the shade goes all the way back to 1999 when the future POTUS told Dan Rather in an interview:

"Does being captured make you a hero? I don't know, I'm not sure."

BTW, Trump dodged going to war by claiming he had painful "bone spurs" -- which didn't stop him from playing sports in college.

Ugh, no wonder McCain told him to stay away from his funeral!
